Porom Wenda: Promise of all out war - The civilians leave or vacate Lani Jaya region of West Papua.

TPNPBnews: The head of the TPNPB,  in the  Lani Jaya region of West Papua,  Purom Okiman Wenda, expressed an attitude of open war with the Indonesian military, for the sake of the struggle for independence of the Papuan people, after an open war some time ago, in Popome Village, Balingga District, Lani Jaya Regency.

The  Indonesian military personnel were dropped in  the region, adding an additional 30 to 50 Indonesian military and police personnel on 7/11/2018, not only in Lani Jaya but in Puncak Jaya, Tingginambut District, Yambi District, Ilaga and Sinak.

The confession was made with a statement on an audio-telephone recording. Okiman expressed his firm stance that he would not surrender to the NKRI, "I cannot give up, the Indonesian National Armed Forces asked me to surrender. I could not give up, I wanted war, did not want surrender," he said in telephone-audio recordings received by TPNPBnews, (11/11 / 2018). Giving up means submitting to the invaders, and for TPNPB the word surrender is traitor.

As requested by the Papua Police Chief,  Purom Okiman Wenda and his troops surrendered to the Republic of Indonesia, but they (TPNPB-OPM) refused and expressed their attitude to the war for the struggle for independence of the Papuan people.
This was related to the addition of Indonesian National Armed Forces troops in the area of armed conflict. He said that several regions had added Indonesian National Police forces. "The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) descended, a lot of soldiers were dropped in various locations, like Puncakjaya, Ilaga Lanijaya in Sinak, many soliders were dropped. So if there are 30 people, 50 people use that car, "said Purom Okiman Wenda.

He also mentioned that the raiding and burning of residents' houses were carried out by a combination of the Indonesian Military and Indonesian National Police in Tingginambut and Pirime Districts in Lani Jaya, "sweeping operations"  like in Guragi in Pirime, the Honai (traditional Papuan houses) have been burned, and same as in Lani Jaya, they also  burned Honai  (traditional Papua houses) too,  and we were at war  with them and  two of my members were shot ". Purom Okiman said.

The Indonesian National Armed Forces forces forced local residents in the Balingga District to put up red and white Indonesian flags and ransom without looking , they  started  burning houses as a resulted , many people fled to the forest. As Purom Okiman Wenda pointed out, "the Indonesian National Armed Forces Police forced the people to put up the red and white Indonesian flags, saying red and white (Indonesian flags) is in control, and those who refused and did not put up the flag out of the Honai houses,  were forced out of their Honai (houses) and their Honai (houses) were burned. As a result the civilians  in the community villages all dispersed  and  their Honai (houses) burned. ", He said.

Purom Okiman Wenda also appealed to civilians, especially  non-Papuans (Indonesians living in the area)  in the Lani Jaya region to leave or vocate as soon as possible and  they return to their respective  region in Indonesia because the war will continue, and  Purom and his troops would continue to fight. For the safety of civilians the area, civilians must immediately vacate the region of  Lani Jaya.

The Indonesian National Police are brutal against civilians in the Ballingga District of the Lani Jaya region, that is why  TPNPB will not guarantee the safety of any civilians or the Indonesian National Police. "The people who live are to die, but advises they must  leave the Lani Jaya area. I am ready with my soldiers and we will not surrender or  give up before West Papua becomes independent, we fight for independent West Papua," said Wenda in a telephone-audio recording to TPNPBews.
